Staff conducted a meeting with representatives from Elk River Youth Athletic Associations last spring to discuss field needs. Based on the allocated budget and facility needs indicated by the Youth Athletic Associations, the following is the recommended list of general projects. General Projects Youth Athletic Complex Scoreboards (Ballfields 1-6) $60,000 AED 2,000 Water Fountain 500 Mound&Home Plate Covers (Ballfields 5-6) 1,300 Cooler 6,000 Dave Anderson Athletic Complex Netting 1,500 Cooler 6,000 AED 2,000 Dugout Drain Crown 2,000 Oak Knoll Scoreboard—Football/Lacrosse 10,500 Portable Bleachers 4,000 AED 2,000 Soccer Nets 600 Total $98,400 rP I ■ E I E 1 11 NA Dugout Project The approach of the dugout project will be to provide dugouts for ballfields 5-6 at the Youth Athletic Complex and the two ballfields at Oak Knoll. With$80,000 available the cost per dugout will be no larger than $10,000. If any Youth Athletic Association wished to upgrade the dugouts beyond that level, the Association will need to cover the cost difference. Staff is currently working with consultants with HKGi in designing the base dugout, and then an upgraded option as well. Financial Impact $100,000 is currently budgeted in the Park Improvement Fund for athletic field improvements and then$80,000 for dugouts.
