Background/Discussion
County update on trail maintenance, extensions, and connections.
Previous county staff members have indicated the county will not complete maintenance on a trail unless
it is part of a larger pavement rehabilitation project on the adjacent roadway.
In many cases, the service life of a trail requires rehabilitation before the roadway. An example exists
along CSAR 12, east of CSAR 13,where the trail along the north side of the county road is currently
failing while the roadway pavement appears to be in relatively good condition.
