Receive information on the HRA Housing Rehabilitation Program.
Background/Discussion
Four new applications have been received due to the article in the Current newsletter and an informational
meeting facilitated by CMHP on August 17. Of the four applications, one is currently going through the
bidding process, two are being inspected for lead based paint and one is on a waiting list.
Eight projects have been completed to date. Over$167, 044 has been disbursed over the three-year
rehabilitation program period. Monthly installment payments are being received on a consistent basis.
Staff has contacted Joni from the Star News,who will be writing an article for the newspaper. She will
interview homeowners who have participated in the program along with staff from Central Minnesota
Housing Partnership (CMHP).
The video production has been put on hold due to some issues with the video equipment. Staff
continues to work with our city video production team who is envisioning completion later this fall.
