RE: KING AVENUE PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT
KING AVENUE CLOSING
Dear Councilmembers:
Item 4.7.
On December 20, 2004 the City Council adopted Resolution 04-104 requesting ~nDOT to
participate in the closing of accesses on Highway 10 included in the 2005 streett'
Improvement Project. After the adoption of Resolution 04-104, I realized this ould have
been an opportune time to include King Avenue in that resolution in an attemp to have
MnDOT pay for the closing of King Avenue, in association with the King Ave ue parking
lot improvement. Therefore, I have prepared a new resolution which includes e accesses
at Rush Avenue, Seymour Avenue, Quinn Avenue, and I have added King Ave ue. I would
recommend that the City Council adopt this new resolution including King Ave ue, relative
to requesting a MnDOT Cooperative Agreement for the costs of closing the va . ous
accesses with Trunk Highway 10.
If you have any questions regarding this issue, please call.
Sincerely,
C"'
