Provide direction for Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission appointment for commissioners.
Background/Discussion
The Council directed ERMU Staff to seek special legislation to expand the Utilities Commission from
three to five members. The legislation was approved last session and staff is currently working on the
ordinance updates to make it official.
The legislation provides a provision for up to two Council Members to be appointed to the commission.
Mayor Dietz is looking for direction from the Council for the makeup of the forthcoming appointments.
