Staff Present: City Administrator Cal Portner, Finance Director Lori Ziemer, and
Sr. Administrative Assistant Jennifer Johnson
l . Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council
was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Dietz.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
3. 2017 Budget
Ms. Ziemer presented the staff report.
Mayor Dietz indicated he would like to see the tax rate continue the trend of
lowering each year and have it below 46.17% for 2017.
Counciltnembers Westgaard and Wagner agreed with Mayor Dietz's position.
It was the consensus of the council to levy the maximum tax levy option of
$10,657,808 or a 4.8% change from last year.
4. Adjournment
There being no further business, Mayor Dietz adjourned the meeting of the Flk
River City Council at 6:45 p.m.
