SUBJECT: Hiring of Maintenance I Person
At the end of April 2000, the person in our labor position resigned and I chose,
at that time, to use summer workers to fill those job needs. Now, with the
summer work programs ending we are in need of an additional worker for the
winter season.

On August 28th, at the City Council budget work session it was suggested that
we hire the 2001 Maintenance I person in the fall of 2000 and the laborer
position in the spring of 2001.
Reauest
I request City Council approval to advertise for the Maintenance I position, so
that we can work through the process and hire someone in early November.
