Accept,by motion, the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and the Certificate of Achievement for
Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Background/Discussion
The City of Elk River has received, for the eighth consecutive year, the Distinguished Budget
Presentation Award for the 2016 budget document.
The City of Elk River has also received, for the 27'h consecutive year, the Certificate of Achievement for
Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
Both are prestigious national awards presented by the Government Finance Officers Association
recognizing the highest standards in governmental budgeting and financial reporting.
