Discuss Mississippi Connections Plan and the long-term plan for ast Main Street.
Background/Discussion
The Mississippi Connections was adopted by council on December 3
downtown redevelopment plan which includes East Main Street connecting to Highway 169. This
corridor is a central transportation corridor through the city and also serves as the gateway to the core
downtown area.
Currently, a wide array of highway commercial land uses alignsthis corridor. Three of the properties
located along Main Street featuresingle-family residential properties that have been identified as legal
non-conforming uses. The HRA could consider purchasing these properties as they becom
