Fae Jacobs is a huge supporter of Elk River High School girls' athletic teams and has been for many
years.
Ms.Jacobs will celebrate her 901h birthday on December 30, 2016.
Mayor Dietz is requesting Council recognize December 30, 2016, as Fae Jacobs Day in the City of Elk
River.

Fae Jacobs Day
WHEREAS, Fae Jacobs has been a huge supporter of Elk River High School athletic teams for
more than 60 years; and
WHEREAS, Fae Jacobs has been the No. I supporter of Elk River High School girls' athletic
teams for many years; and
WHEREAS, Fae has supported the Elk River High School girls' athletic programs with financial
assistance for a number of scholarships; and
WHEREAS, Elk River High School girls' athletic teams give special acknowledgement to Fae
Jacobs before many of their games; and
WHEREAS, Fae Jacobs is a resident of Otsego,Minnesota but has been named an Honorary
Citizen of Elk River; and
WHEREAS, Fae will celebrate her 90th birthday on December 30, 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I,John J. Dietz,Mayor of Elk River, do
hereby proclaim December 30, 2016, as Fae Jacobs Day.
