Adopt,by motion, the resolution acknowledging contributions of$22,700 to the Fire Department from
various groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From January 1,2016, through December 19, 2016, the Fire Department has received various monetary
and in-kind donations from groups and organizations. The intent of the donations is listed on the
attached spreadsheet.
Contributions shall be approved for acceptance and resolution adopted by at least four-fifths vote.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River Fire Department has received$22,700 in monetary and in-kind donations.

Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution 16-
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Fire Department received donations from January 1 —
December 16, 2016, from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A,
attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote acknowledges the support and commends these individuals and organizations for their
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof-
