Approve, by motion, the attached letters stating the city has no concerns at this time with Sherburne
County Right -of -Way plats 78 and 80.
Background/Discussion
Sherburne County is undergoing a formalization of their Right -of Way along both CSAH 1 and County
Road 35. The attached plats show the Right -of -Way the county will proceed with monumentation as part
of this project.
There are no changes in ownership or discrepancies in the line work but the project formalizes the
graphics for future reference.
Staff has reviewed the documents and recommends the Council approve the letters as requested.

Sherburne County has prepared Sherburne County Highway Monurrmentation Plat No. 78 for County State
Aid Highway 1 from School St to County Road 32. The purpose for the monumentation plat is to ensure we
have a clear record defining the County right of way on file with the Recorder's office. As part of this process,
we notify the adjoining landowners of the monumentation and the plat. You have the following road(s) that
intersect with the County Road:
Proctor Ave NW
Upland St NW
Industrial Blvd NW
Vernon St NW
Watson Ave NW
194th Lane NW
196th Lane NW
196th Ave NW
199th Ave NW

We are sending you this letter for a two -fold purpose: First -to ensure that you are aware of our activities
in case you or the residents have any questions. Second, to ensure that the City Council is in agreement with
the representations on the plat with regard to the city road(s) that intersects with the County's road.
Therefore, enclosed for your review is the Sherburne County Highway Monumentation Plat No. 78. Sherburne
County would like Elk River City Council to please review and if you are in agreement with the representation
of the City's right of way as it intersects with the County road, please take board action regarding this
Acknowledgement, sign/date and return this Acknowledgement within thirty days of the date of this letter. If
you have any questions on the information or the request, please contact us.
