Discuss, Schedule Council/Staff Retreat.
Background/Discussion
In 2011, the city completed a visioning process that included a city tag line and value/vision statements.
Along with the value/vision statements included a number of council goals.
Many of the goals have been completed and are updated each year. The council receives city goal
information along with their budget materials.
Over the past year or so, we have had a number of council member questions regarding long-term plans
and application of the zoning ordinance.
I would like the council to consider a 1-3 day joint retreat with staff to clarify the council's direction, goals
and vision. The retreat could be facilitated by a third party or internally.
This discussion will provide direction with regard to type, length, topics, and scheduling if so desired.
