Subject: Director's Report
This report is a monthly highlight of department activities related to collaboration, strategic
planning, staff changes/developments, and park operations.
Riverfront Concert Series 2017
The concert series schedule is complete for 2017. A complete schedule will be made available next
month. Favorites such as the Fabulous Armadillios,Arch Allies and The Jimmy's will be coming
back. Bands will perform June 22 through August 24 with no concert on July 6.
A grand opening for Rivers Edge Commons Park is sceheduled for June 15,rain or shine. No
headliner band is planned for this event but it will have roving entertainment and an opportunity to
showcase the new park to the public. A ribbon cutting ceremony is also planned. Please plan to
attend.
Plat Updates
Two final plats are being reviewed by the City Council,Prestigious Woodland Hills Fourth Addition
and Miske Meadows Second Addition. Prestigious Woodland Hills Fourth Addition will not require
any park dedication as the park dedication requirements have already been met with previous plat
additions. Miske Meadows Second Addition will continue to pay park dedication in the form of
cash. This plat proposal has no impact on the future 4.7 acre park land at the south end of the
plat. This park area will be reviewed during later plat applications.
City Annual Boards/Commission Recognition Diinner
The city annual board and commissions dinner has been scheduled for Wednesday,March 8 at
Rockwoods. Formal invitations will go out towards the end of this month.
Pinewood Golf Course
Staff continues to work on the proposal from the Elk River Golf Club to manage Pinewood Golf
Course. Staff is currently working on a contract agreement and that will be brought forward to City
Council for approval.
