Thursday, October 20 2016 8-3p.m. Volunteers will travel off the beaten path to find Buckthorn and downed or damaged trees at Bailey Point Nature Preserve. Learn to identify Buckthorn and methods to control and remove it. Volunteers must wear pants, sturdy shoes, and bring gloves. Plan to meet in the parking lot. Sun screen and bug repellant are encouraged. This event is rain or shine. Water and lunch will be provided. This is a free event and all are welcome. (Children must be supervised at all times.) Volunteers must pre-register for planning purposes at wwwElkRiverMN.gov/ L,ti 0 register.
