Approve,by motion, the purchase of four Ford Interceptor Utility vehicles from the state contract in the
amount of$108,756 ($27,189 each).
Background/Discussion
The requested purchase is part of the routine four-year squad replacement cycle utilized by the Police
Department and approved by the Fleet Committee. The requested vehicles are 2017 Ford Interceptor
Utility vehicles, the industry standard.
The requested vehicles will be purchased off the Minnesota fleet contract,which has been awarded to
Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls,Minnesota.
Financial Impact
Funds have been designated in the 2017 fleet budget in the amount of$155,500,which includes vehicle
purchase, set up,graphics, and miscellaneous expenses associated with squad replacement.
