Background/Discussion The Zimmerman Fire Department Relief Association has requested that their donation by used by the Parks and Recreation Department. Staff is very appreciative and will use the funds for park improvements at Orono Park. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03,resolutions acknowledging contributions must be adopted by a four-fifths vote. Financial Impact N/A Attachments ■ Resolution Acknowledging Donation POWERED 6T Template Updoted 4/14 INAWRE1 City of Elk River Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: City of Elk River City Council Resolution 17- A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and individuals for their contributions to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $5,000 donation from Zimmerman Fire Department Relief Association with the intent it be used by Parks and Recreation Department for park improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at a least four-fifths vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Zimmerman Fire Department Relief Association for their donation. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof- and the following against: ,whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
