SUBJECT: Discussion Regarding January 12
Special Meeting
.
The school board has invited all city councils and township boards within the
school district to a joint meeting. This joint meeting is scheduled for
Tuesday, January 12, 1999,7 p.m., at Elk River City Hall. The school board
will be conducting the meeting and I understand that the major topics of
discussion are growth and long range planning. The school board is looking
to exchange information regarding plans for the future. I anticipate being in
attendance in order to provide information regarding Elk River projections
for growth and development.
No action is needed by the City Council as this Tuesday, January 12 special
City Council meeting has already been called. All councilmembers are
encouraged to attend.

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
CITY COUNCIL MEETING
I, Henry A. Duitsman, Mayor, hereby request a special meeting of the City
Council on January 12, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. to be held at the Elk River City
Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway.
The purpose of the meeting is to hold a joint meeting with the School Board,
city councils and township boards within the School District 728.

In accordance with State Statute, I hereby request the city clerk to post this
notice at least three days prior to the meeting date. I further request the city
clerk to notify each member of the City Council of this special meeting, in
writing, at least one day before the meeting.
