Lori Johnson, Finance Director ~~ DATE: January 19, 1999 SUBJECT: Pay Equity Compliance Report Every three years, each local government jurisdiction is required to report its pay data to the Minnesota Department of Employee Relations in order to determine its compliance with the 1984 Local Government Pay Equity Act. The city has been in compliance in the past and, based on the report for December 31, 1998, the city should again be in compliance with the Act. . A copy of the compliance and implementation reports are attached for your review. In order to be in compliance, the underpayment ratio must be in excess of 80 percent. Hit is not, the T-test results must be met. The city's underpayment ratio is 87.1%. Therefore, based on the information as presented, the city is in compliance with the Pay Equity Act. The Department of Employee Relations will review the information as presented and notify the city of the results of their review.
