Overview
Anne Wayman is requesting a conditional use permit to operate a therapeutic
massage business at her salon. The applicant will also be applying for a
license to operate a therapeutic massage business at this location. That
application will be heard by the City Council on January 19, 1999, the same
date that they review this application for the conditional use permit.

The applicant will have two people licensed as massage therapists. The
business will be open Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6
p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Salon is a full service salon. In addition

to the therapeutic massage the applicant's services include hairstyling,
manicures and tanning.
Any signage will require a sign permit and existing parking will be utilized.

At the December 22, 1998 Planning Commission meeting no one spoke at the
public hearing.
Recommendation
The Planning Commission and staff recommend the City Council approve
Anne Wayman's request for a conditional use permit to operate a business
which included therapeutic massage at 706 Main Street with the following
condition:
1. The applicant receive approval of a license to operate a therapeutic
massage from the City Council.
