The attached amendment pertains to the Public Utilities Commission. The amendment deletes existing language which states that residency shall not be a qualification for membership on the Public Utilities Commission. ORDINANCE NO. 99- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 210.02 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO MEMBERSHIP OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. That Section 210.02 of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances relating to residency requirements for members of the Public Utilities Commission shall be amended as follows: 210.02 - MEMBERSHIP The Public Utilities Commission shall consist of three (3) members appointed by the Council. No more than one (1) member may be chosen from the Council membership. Each member of the commission shall be a resident of the city of Elk River. A vacancy on the Commission shall be filled by the Council for the unexpired term. Section 2.
