I also research situations in education regarding learning styles, communication patterns, and state and national educational policies. I believe that there is a connection between the lack of power some individuals have and their implied social standing, and a connection between the communication process and the success and individual experiences in life (i.e. social status, willingness to be an active citizen, perception of representation, education level),I also believe that understanding power/power dynamics in the classroom can help one navigate and negotiate classroom management with students and colleagues.
