Provide direction regarding a possible inbound internship.
Background/Discussion
Dr. Sabine Engel of the University of Minnesota Institute on the Environment has a German
environmental engineering student looking for an internship. Many of his interests are compatible with
our Energy City program.
Staff is seeking council direction regarding the city's participation in the program.
Financial Impact
The US Department of State requires student visa applicants to show proof of$1,300 per month funding
availability. The student, city, and University of Minnesota would share funding.
