A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River in Which the City of
Elk River asks Great River Regional Library to Calculate the Cost of
Expanding Their Hours of Operation.
WHEREAS, The Elk River Branch of the Great River Regional Library has hours of
operation of Monday & Wednesday 10 a.m.- 8 p.m., Tuesday & Thursday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.,
l riday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., and closed Sunday; and
WHEREAS, The City of Elk River would like the Great River Regional Library, Elk River
Branch, to consider changing their hours of operation to Monday — Thursday 10 a.m. — 8
p.m., Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and closed Sunday; and
WHEREAS, The City of Elk River requests Great River Regional Library to calculate the
additional cost would operate the Elk River Library the additional three (3) hours per week.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk
River, Minnesota, as follows: Requests Great River Regional Library to calculate the cost to
change the library hours at Elk River Regional Library to be more consistent and increase
their hours of operation by three hours. This resolution is intended to gather information for
further council discussion.
