Village of Elk River, Sherburne County, Minnesota
Held September 8, 1959
A regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Elk
River, Minnesota, was held at the Municipal. Building in said Village on
September 8, 1959, at 7:30 o'clock P. M.
The following members were present:
R. G. Kemper, trustee; August Meyer, trustee; G. R. Bergerson, trustee;
H. A. Briggs, clerk,
and the following were absent:
Henry Johnson, Mayor.
RESOLUTION 'CALLING FOR A HEARING
ON THE VACATION OF PART OF WALNUT STREET
WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to this council signed
by a majority of the abutting owners on that portion of Walnut Street now
known as Xenia Street in the Village of Elk River, lying North of the North
line of Main Street in said Village, asking for a vacation of said portion
of Xenia Street.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOIYED by the Village Council of Elk
River as follows:
1. That a hearing upon the question of the vacation of that
portion of Walnut Street now known as Xenia Street, lying Forth of the
North line of Main Street in this Village, be had on Monday, October 5,
1959, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. in the council room in the Municipal Build-
ing in the Village of Elk River, Minnesota.
2. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
give two weeks published and posted notice of said hearing as required
by statute.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member , and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
and the following voted against the same:
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, and was
signed by the Mayor, which was attested by the Village Clerk.
