4.3. SR 03-08-1999 . . . Item #4.3. Howard R. Green Company CONSULTING ENGINEERS March 3, 1999 File: 803450J-0060 Honorable Mayor and City Council City of Elk River 13065 Orono Parkway P.O. Box 490 Elk River, MN 55330-0490 RE: PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER TRUNK HIGHWAY 169 DearCoundlMembeffi: As we have proceeded with the preparation of plans and specifications for the pedestrian bridge over Trunk Highway 169, we have also applied for a MnDOT Limited Use Permit. Recently, we received the draft permit back from MnDOT. One of the requirements beyond executing the permit is that a resolution of the City Council approving the MnDOT Limited Use Permit be submitted prior to the final issuance of the permit. Therefore, I have prepared the attached resolution indicating the City of Elk River's approval of the Limited Use Permit for a pedestrian bridge over Trunk Highway 169. We recommend City Council adoption of this resolution. If you have any questions regarding this issue, I will be in attendance at your March 8, 1999, City Council meeting. Sincerely, Howard R.
