SUBJECT: Staff Recommendation Hiring
Maintenance I Worker
.
Due to the tragic circumstances, we have an opening for a Maintenance I
Worker in the StreetIPark Department. Former employee Amy Borst has
expressed an interest in the position. Amy left the City in November of
1997 to move to Clarissa, MN with her family. Amy was a quality
employee and I would be pleased to be able to rehire her. State statute
permits rehiring former employees without advertising the position.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize hiring Amy Borst as a
Maintenance I, Pay Grade 7, Step F (which is $12.17 per hour) with the
opportunity for a step increase in July if her job performance is satisfactory.
