SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
CITY COUNCIL MEETING
I, Stephanie A. Klinzing, Mayor, hereby request a special meeting of the
City Council on March 29, 1999, at 6:00 p.m. to be held at the Elk River
City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway, Elk River, Minnesota.
The purpose of the meeting is to review the 1998 Planning Annual Report
and to meet jointly with the Planning Commission to discuss issues of mutual
interest.

In accordance with State Statute, I hereby request the city clerk to post this
notice at least three days prior to the meeting date. I further request the city
clerk to notify each member of the City Council of this special meeting, in
writing, at least one day before the meeting.

The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council. One of the Commission's functions is to hold public hearings and
make recommendations to the City Council. The City Council makes all final decisions on these matters.
Elk River City Ordinances require that certain documents and information be included in applications. The Planning Commission
may postpone consideration of an application that is incomplete and may, for other reasons, postpone final action on an application.
For each item the Commission will receive reports prepared by the City staff, open the hearing to the public, and discuss and act upon
the application.
