Approve,by motion, a resolution to accept donations from the Friends of the Library for the Elk River
Library.
Background/Discussion
During discussion on the Elk River Library Master Agreement it was shown on Exhibit A of the
agreement City Owned Equipment that the Friends of the Library donated to the library a
microfilm/microfiche reader/printer and a rolling laptop desk. Exhibit A is a list of all library assets are
owned by the City of Elk River.
Also,written within the resolution is language that any repairs or supplies required for any donations to
the Elk River Library are not city expenses.

Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:

Resolution 17-
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a Microfilm. microfiche reader/printer and a
rolling laptop desk donation from Friends of the Library with the intent it be used by the
Elk River Library for library patrons.
WHEREAS, any repairs or supplies required for any donations to the Elk River Library
are not at city expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Friends of the Library for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof-
