Discuss the long -term plan for redeveloping properties along Main Street in accordance with the
Mississippi Connections Plan.
Background /Discussion
The Mississippi Connections was adopted by the City Council on December 3, 2012. The plan outlines
the redevelopment framework which was designed by necessity to have a long term horizon for
completion.
At their March 6 meeting, the HRA expressed an interest in seeing building overlays showing setbacks,
utility easements and proposed traffic connections to assist with their consideration of redeveloping
properties along Main Street and bring it back for discussion.
Financial Impact
The HRA has budgeted $20,000 to implement the Mississippi Connections Plan
