Approve,by motion, the low bid and authorize the execution of a contract with North Valley,Inc. for the
construction of the 2017 Trail Improvement project.
Background/Discussion
Based on improvements detailed in the Parks Capital Improvement Plan to be completed in 2017, staff
has developed plans, advertised and received bids for the construction of the 2017 Trail Improvement
Project. Bids were received on April 10, 2017. There were a total of 4 bids received that ranged from
$94,232.03 to $127,485.25. A tabulation of the bids is attached. The low bid was submitted by North
Valley,Inc.
Upon contract approval, staff will work with the North Valley to finalize a refined schedule for the work
in 2017.
Financial Impact
The bids for this project came in below budget estimates for the work. Upon completion of this
contract,parks staff will review the level of their budget to see if any additional maintenance type projects
can be completed this summer.
