VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
JANUARY 27, 1890
Council met at the Recorders Office at 7:30 p.m
Present: D.R. Houlton, Wm. E. Cory, John Jameson, L.L. Baker
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
The question of granting a liquor license to J.P. Taylor, which was laid over from last meeting, was
taken up and on motion was granted by a unanimous vote of those present.
The bond of B.A. Latta as a Justice of the Pease – also the bond of L.L. Baker, Recorder – were
approved by a full vote of the Council.
The last Saturday night of each month was agreed upon for holding the regular meetings of the
Council.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned.
