VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
JANUARY 24, 1890
Council met at the Recorders Office at 8:00 p.m
Present: Wm. E. Cory, K.H. Burrell, L.L. Baker
The following persons qualified _ viz _:
President – D.R. Houlton
Trustees - Wm. E. Cory
K.H. Barrell
John Jameson
Recorder - L.L. Baker
Treasurer - M.J. Castello
Justice of Peace – B.A. Latta
On motion, Wm. E. Cory was elected President Pro-Tem. On motion, the application of J.P. Taylor
for a liquor license was laid over till next Monday night at 7:30 and when the Council adjourned it
till that time.
The bond of M.J. Castilla – the Treasurer – was read and on motion, approved.
The bond of the Recorder and of B.A. Latta – a Justice of the Peace – were laid over till next
meeting.
Nothing further, the Council on motion adjourned.
