VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 1, 1891
Council met at Recorder’s office at 8:00 p.m.
Present: CS. Wheaton, N.K. Whittman, D.R. Houlton, E.E. Bryant
The following bills were presented and on motion, allowed:
Julius Kastendick, work on street: $3.00
S.W. Barrett, hauling plank $1.25
N.K. Whittman, cash paid for street work $1.00
On motion, D.R. Houlton was appointed a committee to look up the matter of purchasing a road
grader and obtain prices on same.
On motion, C.S. Wheaton was appointed a committee to confer with P. Clute in reference to
engaging him for work upon the Elk River bridge, compensation not to exceed $2.00 per day.
On motion, adjourned.
