VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 4, 1892
Council met at Recorder’s office at 7:00 p.m.
Present: C.S. Wheaton - President, N.K. Whittman, D.R. Houlton, E.E. Bryant
An ordinance establishing grades on certain streets in the Village of Elk River, Sherburne County,
was presented. Motion made that the said ordinance be adopted and published according to law.
Ayes: Wheaton, Houlton, Whittman & Bryant. Nays: none. The said ordinance was accordingly
adopted and ordered published.
The following bills were presented and on motion, allowed:
L.L. Chaffin, repairing grades, etc. $ 2.80
W.H. Houlton, lumber for Elk River bridge $87.09
E.E. Bryant, Recorder’s salary and blanks $35.40
Will Gliff, work on streets $13.25
The Council proceeded to compare all orders drawn for the yar and finding all correct, the same
were cancelled.
On motion, adjourned to Friday, January 8, at 2:00 p.m..
