VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 30, 1892
Council met at Recorder’s office at 7:00 p.m.
Present: C.S. Wheaton - President, D.R. Houlton, N.K. Whittman, L. F. Lewis – Trustee,
E.E. Bryant – Recorder
The council proceeded to organize by each member taking the oath of office according to law.
The applications of J.P. Taylor and M.C. Blauchett for liquor license were presented.
On motion, the application of J. P. Taylor was accepted and his bond approved.
On motion, the application of M.C. Blauchett was rejected.
The bonds of M. J. Costello for Treasurer and E.E. Bryant for Recorder were approved.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed:
A.N. Dare, publishing grade information $6.60
E.E. Chase, judge of village election $2.00
R.H. Burrell, judge of village election $2.00
H.H. Wheaton, nails $1.00
On motion, the last Saturday evening of each month was made the regular meeting night of the
council.
On motion, adjourned.
