VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
April 2, 1894
Council met in Special Session at 7:30 p.m.
Present: D.R. Houlton, President; J.F. Lewis; A. Davis; F.W. Hildreth; E.E. Bryant, Recorder.
The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and approved.
On motion the following resolution was adopted:
Resolved, that all persons are warned against removing sand from any of the streets of the village of
Elk River, and particularly from Main Street.
The bill of F.W. Hildreth, $1.75, shoveling snow, was in motion allowed.
On motion John Hayward was appointed Poundmaster and Lot 10, 11 & 12 Block 7 of W.H.
Houlton’s Addition to Elk River were designated as a pound.
