VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 31, 1895
Council met in Special Session for the purpose of organizing for the ensuing year.
Present: Chas. S. Wheaton, President; J.F. Lewis; Andrew Davis, Recorder
Each member had taken the oath of office according to law.
Minutes of the last meeting read and approved.
The bonds of Andrew Davis as Recorder and Henry Castle as Treasurer were presented and on
motion were accepted, approved and ordered to be filed according to law.
On motion the following bills were allowed:
D.R. Houlton, $2.00 for Judge Election
J.F. Lewis, $2.00 for Judge Election
On motion the meeting adjourned to the Recorder’s office Saturday evening, February 2, at 7:30
o’clock.
