VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 5, 1895
Council met in Special Session for the purpose of closing the business for the year 1894.
Present: D.R. Houlton, President; F.W. Hildreth; J.F. Lewis; E.E. Bryant, Recorder.
The minutes of the past five meetings were read and approved.
The Committee then proceeded to compare all orders issued during the past year, and finding all
correct, the same were cancelled.
The report of the Treasurer for the year 1894 was presented, and being found correct, was in motion
accepted, approved and ordered filed with the Recorder for record.
The report of the Board of Auditors, prepared by the Recorder, was presented, showing the
disbursements of the village from January 1, 1894, to January 5, 2895, and the assets and liabilities of
said village on said last-named date. On motion the same was accepted, approved and ordered filed
with the Recorder for record.
The following bills were presented and in motion allowed:
W.A. Thompson, road work, $3.00
S.W. Barrett, hauling plank, $.25
E.E. Bryant, Recorder’s salary 1894 & blanks, $35.20
Nothing further appearing, on motion adjourned.
