VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
April 30, 1895
Common Council met in Extra Session at Chas. S. Wheaton’s office.
Present: Chas S. Wheaton, President; J.F. Lewis and A. Bailey, Trustees; Andrew Davis,
Recorder.
A committee composed of A.J. Word, Frank Brown and Roy Harrington of the town of Otsego
were present and asked to be allowed the amt. of $25.00 per mo. for the purpose of making the
Ferry (known as the upper ferry) free to the towns of Otsego, Elk River and Frankfort.
On motion $25 was allowed the above committee for the purpose of making said ferry free to said
towns, payable at the end of each mo. to said committee. Said amount to be paid one mo. from Apr.
25, 1895, and continue for 6 successive mos.
On motion meeting adjourned.
