VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
July 22, 1895
The Common Council met in special session at 8 o’clock at Chas. S. Wheaton’s office.
Present: Chas S. Wheaton, President; Fred Hildreth, Trustee; Andrew Davis, Recorder.
The following resolutions were presented and on motion were adopted:
Resolved that the sum of $25.00 be appropriated in payment of the share of the Village of Elk River
for maintaining a free ferry across the Mississippi River at Elk River (known as lower ferry) for
month ending July 22, 1895, order payable to J.G. Gray.
Resolved that the sum of $25.00 be appropriated in payment of the share of Village of Elk River for
maintaining a free ferry across Mississippi River at Otsego (known as upper ferry) for month ending
July 26, 1895, order payable to M.E. Spencer.
No further business appearing, on motion meeting adjourned.
