VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 28, 1895
Common Council met at 2:30 o’clock P.M. at Chas. S. Wheaton’s office.
Present: Chas S. Wheaton, President; J.F. Lewis, Trustee; Andrew Davis, Recorder.
The following resolutions were presented and on motion allowed:
Resolved that the sum of $25.00 be appropriated in payment of the share of the Village of Elk River
for maintaining a free ferry across the Mississippi River (known as the lower ferry) for the month
ending September 22, 1895, order payable to J.G. Gray.
Resolved that the sum of $25.00 be appropriated in payment of the share of the Village of Elk River
for maintaining a free ferry across the Mississippi River (known as the upper ferry) for the month
ending September 26, 1895, order made payable to M.E. Spencer.
On motion meeting adjourned.
