Chadbourne, Village Recorder VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING February 5, 1897 Common Council met at the Recorder’s Office February 5, 1897. Present: Henry C. Hastings, President; F.P. Brown and L. Pollard, Trustees; W.F. Chadbourne, Recorder. Meeting called to order by President at 7:30 P.M. The application of Morneau and Blanchett for license to sell intoxicating liquors in the Village of Elk River was taken up and, no bond being presented or person appearing to represent said parties, on motion the said application was unanimously rejected. The application of Moses Mack for license to sell intoxicating liquors in the Village of Elk River was taken up and, as no bond was presented or person appearing for said party, on motion said application was duly rejected. Recorder was instructed to return money accompanying said applications according to printed instructions on applications. Meeting adjourned at 9:15. W.F. Chadbourne Recorder
