VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 4, 1897
The Village Council met at the Recorder’s Office on Saturday, September 4, 1897.
Present: H.C. Hastings; L. Pollard; W.F. Chadbourne, Rec.
Meeting called to order at 8:30 P.M. by President.
Co. Atty. Frank White appeared before the Council with information in regard to putting in drain
under railroad track. No action taken in regard to it.
The following bill was presented and on motion allowed:
W.H. Houlton and Co. for lumber furnished village to date, amt. of bill $49.35
On motion bill allowed and an order drawn for the amount.
No further business appearing, adjourned to Saturday, September 11.
