VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
July 26, 1897
Village Council met at the Office of Recorder on Monday evening, July 26, 1897.
Present: H.C. Hastings; L. Pollard; F.P. Brown; W.F. Chadbourne, Rec.
Meeting called to order by President at 8 o’clock P.M.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed and orders drawn for their respective
amounts:
Faun Brown, $25.00, order 504, street work
Fred Stimson, $21.25, order 505, street work
John Evans, $11.88, order 506, street work
Perry Clute, $13.75, order 507, street work
Fred Baltzell, $1.25, order 508, street work
L. Pollard, $23.25, order 509, street work
Faun Brown, $2.50, order 510, Orrock Road
Perry Clute, $1.25, order 511, Orrock Road
L. Pollard, $2.00, order 512, Orrock Road
W.L. Babcock & Son, $46.33, order 513, street lamps
Mr. Hastings asked that some work be done on Park Street and also on Main St. On motion his
request was granted and Mr. Pollard instructed to do the same. Ordered 3 more street lamps.
