VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 29, 1898
Village Council met at treasurer’s office in courthouse January 29, 1898, at 8 o’clock P.M.
Present: H.C. Hastings, Pres.; Frank P. Brown, C.T. Nickerson, Trustees; Chas. M. Babcock,
Rec.
Application of V.B. Rubeck to sell intoxicating liquors accepted according to restrictions of Council.
V.B. Rubeck presented the bond for license to sell liquors in the village according to restrictions of
Council.
On motion bond accepted and placed on file, and license granted for one year, on said V.B. Rubeck
presenting a receipt from Village Treas. for $750.00.
On motion Mr. Brown was instructed to get a man to repair sidewalks.
