VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 9, 1898
Village Council met at courthouse at 8 o’clock.
Present: H.C. Hastings, President; F.P. Brown, C.T. Nickerson, H.D. Mills, Trustees;
Chas. M. Babcock, Recorder.
Ordinance No. 42 was presented and read by the President and was on motion adopted by the
following vote by roll call:
Ayes: F.P. Brown, C.T. Nickerson, H.D. Mills, Henry C. Hastings and Chas. M. Babcock.
Nays: None.
On motion Recorder was instructed to advertise for sealed bids for grading streets as provided in
th
Ordinance No. 42. Bids to be opened May 19 at 8 o’clock P.M.
On motion F.P. Brown was appointed to look after jail and see to removing contents, etc.,
preparatory to moving or selling building.
The following bills were on motion allowed:
W.F. Chadbourne, making profile and estimating change of grade, etc., $9.00.
No further business, adjourned.
