April 26, 1898
Village Council met at courthouse at 8 o’clock P.M.
Present: H.C. Hastings, Pres.; F.P. Brown, Trustee; Chas. M. Babcock, Recorder.
The following amounts were allowed to parties as watchman after ferries:
Chas. Doritz, half day, $1.00
Warren Latta, half day, $1.00
Lee Whittenour, half day, $1.00
Ames Chadbourne, half day, $1.00
Geo. Campbell, half day, $1.00
Lute Davis, half day and night, $3.00
Ames Colson, night, $2.00
Will Chase, night, $2.00
F.P. Brown, cash paid for help, $5.00
DeWitt Davis, half day, $1.00
On motion H.D. Mills was appointed as one of the trustees of the Village of Elk River to fill the
vacancy of L. Pollard resigned.
