VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 27, 1898
Village Council met at courthouse at 8:30 o’clock P.M.
Present: H.C. Hastings, Pres.; H.D. Mills, F.P. Brown and C.T. Nickerson, Trustees;
Chas. Babcock, Recorder.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed:
Brown Tracy & Co.; blanks, order drawn to Recorder; $4.50
Perry Clute; street work; $13.00
C.W. Hayden; street work, order drawn to Recorder; $6.00
Wm. Iliff; street work; $4.88
S.W. Bassett; hauling tubing; $1.00
W.L. Babcock & Sons; \[tubing?\], oil, etc.; $77.96
Bill of W.H. Houlton & Co. was laid over to next meeting.
H.D. Mills was appointed as Judge of Election to be held January 10, 1899.
