Water Protection Award
ACTION REQUESTED:

BACKGROUND:
The MRWA/MDH Source Water Protection(SWP)Award is presented annually at the MRWA
Technical Conference. The award is meant to highlight the importance and value of source
water protection efforts in Minnesota, and to recognize individuals, public water systems and
organizations that have shown long term commitment, initiative, leadership, sharing of
successes, and initiation or participation in activities which resulted in the protection or
improvement of their source water.
DISCUSSION:
I submitted ERMU for the annual MRWA/MDH SWP Award. Although we did not win, we
came in second place. We are being recognized by the Governor of Minnesota for our efforts.
